3. Software Overview
L7mp Technologies Ltd. ("L7mp," "we," "our," or "us") provides software solutions that enable the cloud-native development and operation of web-based real-time communication systems. Our offerings include a media gateway designed for the Kubernetes container orchestration platform, along with supporting components such as controllers, authentication services, and integrations with other open-source technologies. This list is not exhaustive and may evolve in the future.
Our solutions are designed to ensure that real-time media traffic in Kubernetes-based cloud environments is handled as efficiently as traditional HTTP traffic. A key step in achieving this is enabling media servers to operate behind a load balancer, reducing their exposure to external cyber attacks. This approach enhances both the security and flexibility of real-time communication services. Please note that the load balancer itself is not part of our software.
Our solutions are not limited to Kubernetes environments, though its benefits are most pronounced in such deployments. Our primary objective in development is to ensure that our solutions integrate seamlessly into the Kubernetes ecosystem. As a result, dependencies on the platform may naturally arise, and users are advised to review these dependencies before utilizing our software. It is the user’s responsibility to familiarize themselves with these prerequisites. While our documentation provides initial guidance, users must ensure they meet all necessary requirements for successful deployment and operation, please visit: https://docs.l7mp.io.
Our software is provided "as is" and "as available", without any express or implied warranties. We do not guarantee that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet all user expectations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Users acknowledge that software may contain bugs, errors, or security vulnerabilities, and we are not responsible for any direct or indirect damages arising from its use.
The software we provide is available in three distinct tiers, each offering varying levels of access, features, and support.
3.1 Free Tier
The Free Tier provides users with access to the source code of our WebRTC media gateway, along with example configurations, available on GitHub (https://github.com/l7mp).
Users of the Free Tier acknowledge and agree to the following conditions:
- Deployment and configuration of the software are self-managed, relying on the provided documentation. We do not take responsibility if a user is unable to successfully deploy or operate the software.
- No official support is provided for users of the Free Tier. However, we may voluntarily engage with the community on forums advertised on our website or in Section 11 (e.g., Discord) to offer guidance. This assistance is not guaranteed, and users cannot expect, demand, or hold us accountable for any responses, solutions, or outcomes, as this activity is purely voluntary and does not constitute a service.
- The Free Tier is licensed under the MIT License, and any aspects not explicitly covered in this Terms & Conditions document shall be governed by the terms of that license.
- We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or restrict access to the Free Tier at our sole discretion, after prior notice.
3.2 Membership Tier
The Membership Tier is a paid subscription that offers additional features and services beyond the Free Tier, including but not limited to configurable usage limits to manage resource allocations, support for multiple operational modes and adaptable deployment options for varied use-cases. The exact feature set may change over time, and users are encouraged to review the latest details on our website.
Users of the Membership Tier acknowledge and agree to the following conditions:
- We conduct testing of the features included in the membership tier within our own Kubernetes cluster and usually in a single major cloud provider. As a result, users may encounter issues specific to certain cloud providers.
- In the event of such issues, users may submit a bug report via email or chat. Details of these communication channels are available in Section 11.
- We respond to bug reports and inquiries submitted by our membership tier clients as soon as possible, but no later than 30 business days.
- We provide assistance to clients in using the software as made available by us. However, the user acknowledges that custom requirements and future developments related to the software are not included in the membership tier, and L7mp cannot be held liable for their implementation.
3.3 Enterprise Tier
We recommend the Enterprise subscription tier for those seeking the most advanced and efficient solutions in a cloud environment. Enterprise-level customers are entitled to additional features and services beyond those included in the Membership subscription. The specific details of these offerings, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs), are subject to individual agreements.
4. License and Usage Rights
Grant of License
Upon purchase or subscription, we grant the user a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the software according to the terms outlined in this Agreement. The license is granted solely for the user’s personal or business use and is limited to the number of users or devices specified in the purchase agreement or subscription plan.

- Transfer of License: The user may not transfer, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the software license to any third party without explicit written consent from us.
